Mathew Ingram at the Globe and Mail provides a quick review of the federal campaign websites. I can’t say I agree with all of his conclusions, but they are interesting nonetheless. I’ll provide my website reviews later today this week.
Mike over at mikewatkins.net makes a rather interesting point - Conservative.ca looks strikingly similar to the US Republican National Committee website. In fact, this goes beyond the acceptable limits of “borrowing design aspects” into website piracy.
Look at the navigational scheme, the bar running the length of the page on the right-hand side, the “Action Center” box, etc. Considering the amount that was likely spent on this website, this is a rookie mistake.

If the Conservatives want to avoid be compared with the Bush and the Republican party, they should avoid emulating their Internet websites.
